Fame Monster

Attributing all of her success to the support of her fans, Lady Gaga has come out with some support of her own. Her EP ‘The Fame Monster’ was initially a few tracks that were going to be part of a re-release of The Fame, but Gaga retaliated from the idea, breaking the news on a German TV show: “I have been fighting with my record label because my album as a re-release was entirely too expensive for my fans. So last night I ripped it in half!”

The EP has eight tracks, making it more of a completely new album than a few B-sides. Gaga has said her inspiration for the album came from watching fashion show on mute, and even said that Fame Monster “was scored for them”. The tracks have sounds reminiscent to the artists Lady Gaga is inspired by.

You’ll hear a little bit of Madonna and Depeche Mode in ‘Dance In The Dark’, and a House of Pain-esque ho-down finisher on ‘Teeth’. A collaboration with Beyonce in ‘Telephone’ features a bouncy electric pop track, with Beyonce’s voice adding an amazing power to the track and fusing Gaga and her style together.

The second CD is her previous album The Fame, put together as a two-disc collection. For Lady Gaga fans, you’ll be glad the fashion diva still has her heart set for you.
