Taking on the success of his Devil May Cry series, creator Hideki Kamiya and his team have put together an action adventure game that combines grace and guns to the button-bashing combo-driven games we know.
Bayonetta is a witch with incredibly powerful magic who is pitted against evil demons and angelic foes. Since she was asleep for 500 years, not knowing where she is, the story will take you on a path of questioning on every corner.
The combat system is almost like a dance, as Bayonetta switches targets fluently, and is a great contrast to the brutal-looking enemies you face. Bayonetta will have slow-motion ‘Witch Time’ magic and deadly strands of hair from her long-flowing locks to keep enemies wishing they took the longer route home. It’s not suitable for younger audiences, as some may find this femme fatale a little raunchier than Lara Croft, but she’s got more grace than most witches.
