There are two different types of microphones: the regular stage microphone and the Xbox 360 headset. The second type of controller looks like a guitar and the third looks like a drum set. Rock Band is as much fun and entertaining as it is informative and educational. Friends can get together, form a band, and spend an entire day rocking out. With such an extensive library of songs, everyone can find a song they like. One learns a lot when playing, also. When singing, a player must match the pitch as specified in a song; when a player goes from easy to expert level, they learn how to better control their pitch, making them a better singer. Also, the drums are so realistic, that a person could actually learn how to play drums by playing Rock Band.
