S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat (PC)

Following on from the events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. – Shadow of Chernobyl, Call of Prypiat sends players back into the series’ apocalyptic wasteland.

Now onto its third rendition, the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series is quickly becoming a compelling addition to the expanding role playing genre. After a military operation to scout an uncharted location goes awry, players are sent into the unknown to recover information on the sector and find out the reason for the mission’s failure. Players now have full access to the exclusion zone, including depictions of real-world locations in and around Ukraine’s Prypiat, including Pripyat town, Yanov railway station, Jupiter factory and Kopachi village.

Alongside Call of Prypiat’s new storyline is a selection of new side quests than can be uncovered during exploration. A variety of new threats now roam the far reaches of Prypiat, each with new behavioural patterns and abilities, and players will need to defend themselves using the refined shooting mechanics on offer. Call of Prypiat also allows players to continue exploring after the credits roll and uncover further secrets hidden within each dense city.
